The Western Meadowlark is the state bird of both Kansas, where Amanda was born, and Oregon, where Amanda lives now. Birds have long been one of Amanda’s favorite species to observe on her morning walks. After learning that the Western Meadowlark was the state bird of her two home-states, it felt only natural to paint this beautiful songbird.
